| So, I've been gone for some time. Where have I been? You could say I've been "living in a Cave."
I was living in the capital of Liaoning Province, in China. And about 3 years ago, China decided to block Xanga. Thus, I've only been able to update this whenever I go back to the U.S. Basically, away from everyone I love, with no way to keep in touch! (ok enough for the sob story)
Now, thanks to modern technology I can post on here from time to time.
Also, I no longer live in a cave. I now live in Beijing. Which is just awesome! (BTW, if any of you come over to Beijing, let me know, I'd love to meet up)
So what have i been up to?
in Short:
- Enrolled in Tsinghua University to improve my Chinese
- Passed HSK level 8 for listening, 7 for reading and grammar. Now just need to improve my "Comprehensive"
- Started my own business about 2 years ago (Check it out here Wedding Shoes) I have been very lucky to have partnered up with some great people and started making a profit this year.
- I have been Networking in Beijing, meeting with CEOs, Financial Analysts, Government officials, Professors, a few Clean Technology Experts, etc etc.
- I am teaching English part-time, hey it's still good money! but mostly to Adults now, except I have like 6 students that are kids.
- Developing a new SEO Consulting Business for Small businesses
- Writing a Blog about how to do business in China.
As you can see I've been pretty busy, but from time to time I will try to post on here to keep everyone updated.

| Hey everyone. Please take a second to read this and sign the petition. I know plenty of people have suffered from Cancer, so please please pass this along. Help spread the word From a nurse:
I'll never forget the look in my patients' eyes when I had to tell them they had to go home with the drains, new exercises and no breast. I remember begging the Doctors to keep these women in the hospital longer, only to hear that they would, but their hands were tied by the insurance companies. So there I sat with my patients, giving them the instructions they needed to take c! ! are of themselves, knowing full well they didn't grasp half of what I was saying, because the glazed, hopeless, frightened look spoke louder than the quiet 'Thank You they muttered.
A mastectomy is when a woman's breast is removed in order to remove cancerous breast cells/tissue. If you know anyone who has had a Mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards. Insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure. Let's give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for 2 days after surgery.
It takes 2 seconds to do this and is very important . Please take the time and do it really quick! Please send this to everyone in your address book. If there was ever a time when our voices and choices should be heard, this is one of those times. If you're receiving this, it's because I think you will take t h e 30 seconds to go to vote on this issue and send it on to others you know who will do the same.
There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require Insurance Companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the 'drive-through mastectomy' where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.
Lifetime Television has put this bill on their Web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on.
PLEASE!! Sign the petition by clicking on the Web site below. You need not give more than your name and zip code number.
http://www.lifetimetv.com/breastcancer/petition/signpetition.php
This takes about 2 seconds. PLEASE PASS THIS ON to your friends and family, and on behalf of all women, THANKS. | |

| You know what really really really sucks? Microsoft! My dad just got a new laptop with "windows 'Vista'" not much of a "vista" really (vista in spanish or latin means view) as in "hey this appartment has a good view" well let me tell you windows has a shitty vista. Actually something that pissed me off about this is that the new Office doesn't come installed with this computer. They give you a 60-day trial (which just so happened to expire in 2 days for me) of a new system which has been completely CHANGED! It's retarded! If you knew how to use office before (like many people) you're screwed and you're going to have to relearn a NEW system! It sucks! If I wanted to learn a new system, wouldn't I have just been better off getting a DIFFERENT program?? I don't know. it makes sense to me! Anyways, this rant is more to promote openoffice.org than to complain. Fortunately, Microsoft Office is now open source so that means you can get a program EXACTLY like what we used to like for windows for ABSOLUTELY free!! That's right, Check out www.openoffice.org and try it yourself. If you like it, then help spread the word, as i'm doing right now. And may we all pray for the day to come when Microsoft's monopoly of crap products will die! Thank you and good night | | |
